Joanne Long sends greetings from her home on Florida's east coast. While her husband fishes in the Atlantic, Rotarian Joanne has a long list of activities on her schedule. In addition to serving her church, she says her favorite project is a mentoring program offered by the local middle school. Joanne's currently in her fifth year working as a mentor to a very special child from a troubled home. When at their northern home, the Longs reside in Garrattsville.

send their greetings from Florida.
The Hays winter near their son and grandchildren in the center of the
state. He's keeping busy making renovations to a nearby home, including
the installation of a new hardwood floor.
And, yes, they're enjoying fresh oranges from trees in their backyard, all of
which escaped the December freeze. When in the Butternut Valley, the Hays have a Gilbertsville address.
January 17, 2011 Program
Tyler White spoke to Morris Rotarians on his participation in what most folks call “lumberjacking”. The Unadilla resident represented SUNY Cobleskill at the Stihl Timbersports Northeast Collegiate Challenge hosted by Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondack Mountains. Later, he moved to the Stihl Timbersports Collegiate Championship at the Oregon State Fair Grounds in Salem, OR last August. Joining White at Morris Rotary was Devin Merkley, men’s A-Team Captain at SUNY Cobleskill, who answered questions and explained the various events.
