One Very Destructive Insect Pest

What were those strange purple traps in the trees along our rural roads this summer?  Rebecca Hargrave of Cornell Cooperative Extension told Morris Rotarians about the damage that's being done by the Emerald Ash Borer.  The good news is that this summer’s survey didn’t turn up any of the pest insects in the Butternut Valley.  The Emerald Ash Borer is slowly chewing up America’s ash forests.  You can read and download additional information at  www.emeraldasheborer.info.  And if you think you’re spotted an infestation, call 1-866-322-4512.
